AGENDA

Introduction to the record of the 7nd NGO humanitarian coordination
meeting made Ahmed Jasarovski, DROM. The record from the 7th meeting was
accepted.
Ad. 1.
a) Abdurauf Prusi, El hilal made introduction.
The record from the 8th meeting was distributed to the organizations.
b) The organization' representatives submitted short written and oral
reports for their last week's activities.
Food/non food products
El Hilal, distributed food and hygienic
supplies in Lipkovo (2 trucks), in Germo and Neprosteno (2 trucks), Aracinovo
(1 truck), and Radusa (1 truck).
Natyra in cooperation with other local NGOs,
was organized convoy with food and hygienic supplies for Lipkovo region.
Mesecina in cooperation with Inter
Ethnic Program, provided food and hygienic supplies for 260 families.
Klasje na dobrinata, distributed humanitarian
aid for 1070 families.
MCIC in cooperation with Internationale
Italiana, provided humanitarian aid in Vratnica and Orasje.
Education
According to Natyra information in Kumanovo, 1560 displaced children are
attending in primary school.
Two children from Medzasi shelter, are attending in primary school (first
class)
Klasje na dobrinata provided 1.000 school bags and 4.000 notebook
Training
MCIC in cooperation with World Church Service organized Emergency Management
Training. The training was held in Skopje from 5th to 9th of September.
The participants were representatives from domestic NGOs and Macedonian
Red Cross. The training was guided by two trainers from Disaster Management
Center from University of Wisconsin, USA.
Other activities
Representatives from Natyra, in Lipkovo region made assessment of destroyed
objects.
Ad.2
Bajram Sulejmani, said that they regularly
face problems while distributing aid in the crisis areas. According to
him, problems occur at the police checkpoints, even when permission has
been obtained from the Government Coordination Body. Another problem is
incorrect behaviour of employees in Red Cross from Kumanovo to displaced
persons.
Zija Abdiu, Klasje na dobrinata, said that
it is necessary to provide more humanitarian aid for displaced persons
settled in Skopje (about 9.000). Also he requested up-date information
from Macedonian Red Cross about distributed humanitarian aid.
Ahmed Jasarovski, Drom, informed that in
cooperation with other local NGOs from Kumanovo a project for humanitarian
aid for displaced persons has been proposed to USAID, but it was refused.
He requested from donors more available funds.
Aleksandar Krzalovski, MCIC, explained that
situation in our country is different than Kosovo crisis and we can expect
more humanitarian aid from donors after the implementation of the Peace
Agreement. Macedonian Government and UNHCR during this week will define
the standards for reconstruction of destroyed objects.
After the discussion, the participants reached the following
Conclusions
- Access to IDP's homes in crisis regions.
Participants from NGO humanitarian coordination to make the contacts
with relevant institutions to make the access of IDPs to their homes
in Lipkovo regions possible.
- Notice to Milosrdie.
To contact representives from Milosrdie and to notice their absence
from the meeting.
