1.The ITF teams will be informed about
the current situation in Macedonia and, as soon as the weather conditions
allow, they are expected to return and resume the clearance operations.
The priority list would be prepared by the Government.
2.In that context, the Government is
taking a greater interest in developing the Mine Action programme. A
national representative was sent to Slovenia to attend the Senior Mine
Action Management Course and the two database clerks will be supllied by
mid-March so that they can be trained in April.
3.Regarding the training of the
Macedonian teams, 18 Civil Protection members would be trained in Slovenia
from the 15th of March until the beginning of May. It is also
expected that the international clearance teams would be deployed on the
ground by the end of February.
4.The new equipment consisting of
plotters, server, database set up of the IMSMA system is due to arrive the
following week.
5.In co-ordination with ICRC the Mine
Action Office planned a field trip to gather information on suspected
borderlines in Debar and Gostivar area.

meeting will be held on the 11th February, 2002, at 15:00h in
the premises of UNMAO.
