UNICEF distributed textbooks, school
bags, notebooks, gums and pencils for the pupils from the primary schools
that attend classes in the crisis regions of Kumanovo and Tetovo, and the
Skopje villages of Ljuboten, Aracinovo and Radusa. School sets were also
distributed to displaced children in Skopje and other cities in the
country.
With the last distribution UNICEF has
finished this action, which started in October last year, where around
28,000 students received textbooks and 24,000 received school material and
bags. The financial support for this activity was provided by the Dutch
government and the Department for International Development at the British
government.
