of the 12th meeting

Record from the 12th meeting of NGO humanitarian coordination.
1. Reports for humanitarian activities
a) Reports from the organizations for last week's activities
b) Report from the 12th meeting of NHC
Ad.1
a) The participants in the meeting submitted short oral reports, as well
as written ones, on the activities carried out in the previous week.
Food / non-food products
El hilal distributed 18 trucks with food items, hygiene supplies
and parcels with construction materials in the villages of Brodec, Matejce,
Lipkovo, Drenovec, Bozovce, Vesala, Sipkovica, Gajre, Lisec, Selce and
for displaced persons settled in Cair, Skopje.
Milosrdie provided 706 food parcels (14.120 kg) for 698 families or 2.448
displaced persons settled in the collective centres in Skopje.
Natura in cooperation with MCIC distributed food, hygiene supplies and
food for cattle in the villages of Vaksince and Matejce.
Coordination
The regional coordination bodies in Kumanovo and Gostivar regularly realised
their current activities. The reports from the meetings were distributed
to the participants.
Psychosocial support
Medzasi, SAZM, OOZM and ROZM "Daja" continually work on providing
psychosocial support to displaced children and women.
other activities
Medzasi takes activities in action "Child's week".
b) Emina Nuredinoska, MCIC, made introduction. The record from the 12th
meeting of NHC was distributed to the organizations.
Rahmani Memedali, Mesecina noticed that the requests from NGO humanitarian
coordination were not properly quoted in the meeting of NHC.
Ad. 2
Rahmani Memedali, Mesecina, re-emphasised the problem with the villages
from Gorna Reka (94 families are displaced in Gostivar, while 54 are still
in the villages), for which food and hygiene supplies aid is necessary.
The access to these villages is still not permitted.
Gazmend Saiti, Natira, said that the displaced persons from Lipkovo area
insist to return to their homes. The Governmental Body for Crisis Management
officially forbids the return.
Dragi Zmijanac, Megasi, asked about the tax exemption procedures and the
possibility of providing accreditation cards for the organizations members
of NGO Humanitarian Coordination.
Follow-up activities on issues from the previous
meeting
1. Aleksandar Krzalovski, MCIC, explained that the applications for reconstruction
of objects of UNHCR can be obtained from their office and delivered to
OXFAM. The maximum amount of the grants is $30.000.
2. MCIC representatives took part on the meeting with local NGOs organized
by the mayor of Tetovo. The local NGOs from Tetovo should be involved
in the NGO Humanitarian Coordination.
After the discussions were resumed the following
Conclusions
1. Initiating meeting with UNHCR.
It is necessary to organize meeting with UNHCR representatives in order
to clarify the possibilities of the announcement for quick impact projects.
2. Acceptance of a member from the Regional Coordination
Body from Tetovo.
After establishing coordination body in Tetovo, a representative elected
by this body will participate on the NGO Humanitarian Coordination activities.
His/her mandate will be confirmed on the next meeting of the NGO Humanitarian
Coordination.
