27 May - 9 June

The world Health Organization distributed furniture for the clinic in Radusa.

The IRC continues to work with the mobile health teams in Aracinovo. Two mobile teams of the ARC are working in Slupcane and in Matejce/Nikustak. The average number of patients they have is 50 a day in Slupcane, 55 in Matejce and 35 in Nikustak.

20 May - 26 May

Mobile medical teams of the American Red Cross are carrying out health protection activities in the three clinics in the Lipkovo area (Matejce, Slupcane and Nikustak.) Approximately 80 patients are examined daily.

13 May - 19 May

The clinics reconstructed by Solidarite in the Lipkovo municipality became operational. The equipment for the clinics was provided by the World Health Organization, and the US Red Cross provided the medical personnel.

1 April - 7 April

The Ministry of Health will hire a medic for the Aracinovo clinic.

The IFRC carried out a campaign for immunization of the children from the collective centers Suto Orizari and Katlanovo.

25 March - 31 March

The WHO completed the entire necessary documentation for proving elementary means for the reconstructed clinics in the Lipkovo area.

The WHO made an agreement with the American Red Cross for proving personnel for the mobile teams that will cover the rehabilitated clinics.

The Task Force Fox delivered equipment for the clinic in Vejce.

18 March - 24 March

Procurement of medical equipment for the repaired clinics in Lipkovo area is ongoing. An agreement for distribution of the equipment was signed with the American Red Cross.

11 March - 17 March

The American Red Cross is completing the project for health education of the IDPs accommodated in collective centers.

The IFRC is carrying out a project for primary health education in three locations: the Suto Orizari collective center, the Suto Orizari clinic and the Katlanovo collective center.

4 March - 10 March

Task force "Amber Fox" (TFF) will provide health services for the inhabitants of the village of Radusa twice a week.

25 February - 3 March

The World Health Organization decided to shut down two from the three temporary pharmacies, opened in August last year for distribution of medicines for the IDPs. The reason for this decision is that the number of IDPs in Skopje is very small. Only the pharmacy located in the medical center Bit Pazar in Skopje will remain open.

The Handicap International is carrying out an urgent project for distribution of orthopedic gear for the persons with special needs. The project will last for three months and is financially supported by the UNHCR.

The American Red Cross is completing the project for health education of the IDPs accommodated in host families and in collective centers.

The Solidarite has completed the activities for reconstruction of the clinics in Matejce, Nikustak and Slupcane.

18 February - 24 February

ECHO completed the list of renewed ambulants.

11 February - 17 February

ARC continues the health-educational program. The program is about to an end in Kumanovo, but new activities will start in Dojran.

TFF (Task Forces Fox) carry out two health projects, introduction of permanent health care in Vejce in cooperation with the Medical Center in Tetovo and reconstruction of the health center in Lipkovo in cooperation with Intersos.

4 January - 10 February

The ambulance in Lipkovo is being reconstructed with funhds donated by ECHO and Solidarite.

The Catholic Relief Service is repairing the new parts of the ambulance in Radusa. A medic from the Gjorce Petrov medical center twice a week pays a visit to Radusa.

The IRC continues to provide primary medical care to the IDPs in Kumanovo and Aracinovo. Approximately 70 patients are received every day.

26 November - 2 December

Representatives of the WHO paid a visit to the clinic in Radusa, damaged during the armed clashes. Director of the Gjorce Petrov policlinic is ready to dispatch a medic twice a week. The villagers are ready to help in the reconstruction, but they need building materials.

The American Red Cross continues with the education activities for the IDPs accommodated in collective centers or by host-families.

The IRC teams are providing health protection for the IDPs in Kumanovo and those who have returned to their homes in Aracinovo. Approximately 70 patients receive medical treatment a day. The IRC is also carrying out reconstruction on the clinic in Aracinovo.

12-18 November

The American Red Cross continues with health education of IDPs in the collective centers and host-families in Skopje and Kumanovo.

The IRC medical teams provide primary health services for IDPs in Kumanovo and returnees in Aracinovo.

5-11 November

The WHO continues to supply three pharmacies in Skopje and the medical centers in Kumanovo and Tetovo with free medicines for the IDPs.

The Macedonian Red Cross continues with the distribution of hygiene packages for the host-families, and the Danish Refugee Committee distributed hygiene products in the collective centers.

The IRC will carry out minor reconstruction of the ambulance building in Aracinovo.

The IOM completed the estimation of the needs of health care.

29 October - 4 November

The American Red Cross / ARC performs health education of IDPs in the host families that provide shelter to migrants from the crises regions and the refugee centers. The health education is completed in two refugee centers in Skopje, Stiv Naumov and Pelagonija (student's hostels). The activities of their program shall start the performance in Tetovo, as well.

Handicap International has completed the distribution of 100,000 diapers for IDP with chronicle diseases, at the age of above 60 and from 0 to 12 years. These people shall be protected with a vaccine against flow. The activities shall be coordinated with the Ministry of Health.

AAR from Japan is distributing a primary health care for the refugees, IDP's and the social cases in Kumanovo, Skopje and Tetovo.

22-28 October

ICRC offers medical aid to local medical centers in the Lipkovo region. WHO continues to offer health services to the displaced persons in Kumanovo and to distribute free medications for the pharmacies in Skopje. WHO has distributed medications for Tetovo for the first time.

8-14 October

With logistic support from El Hilal, medical teams from Skopje carried out estimation of the medical buildings in Grupcino, Aracinovo, Studenicani and Batinci villages.

With logistic support from MCIC, the estimation in the Lipkovo region was also completed.

1-7 October

On October 3, the Ministry for Health and the World Health Organization/WHO, organized a workshop for a rapid assessment of medicine centers and health centers in the conflict areas. This assessment takes place in the area of Tetovo, Skopje and Kumanovo. Approximately 13 teams should evaluate 98 objects. A team from the Kumanovo Medicine center, logistically supported by the MCIC, evaluated the Lipkovo-area villages (Nikustak, Lipkovo, Slupcane,Matejce, Otlja and Lojane).

The American Red Cross is conducting a health education programmer for the IDPs in the collective centers and the host families in Skopje and Kumanovo regions.

24-30 September

WHO/ The World health Organization and the Ministry of Health are preparing an assessment list for estimating the damages of the health facilities in the crises regions.

3-9 September

The WHO equipped one room in the clinic in Aracinovo, where a mobile medical team from the clinic in Gazi Baba continuously provides medical assistance.

The UNICEF and WHO continue providing assistance in medicaments for three pharmacies in Skopje, for the needs of the IDPs.

27 August - 2 September

A team incorporating the IRC and the International Red Cross visited Aracinovo last week, and experts assessed the damage in the ambulance. Minor reconstructions are needed. UNICEF donated the equipment, as well as doctor and nursery kits. The team is expected to begin to operate this week.

The World Health Organization (WHO), is planning to evaluate the health facilities in the regions in which access is possible, while the conflict - affected villages will be examined later on.

20-26 August

The World Health Organization/WHO, has formed a mobile medical team for Aracinovo.

13-19 August

It is being considered to open ambulances and pharmacies in other cities in the country (hitherto, there are such in Skopje and Kumanovo), where the IDP could use free health services and medications.

SAZM (League of albanian women in Macedonia) organizes free medical examinations for displaced women and children that are accommodated in host-families in Skopje.

6-12 August

The International committee of the Red Cross supplied help in medical equipment, medications and other medical material for the Tetovo Medicine Center.

The World Health Organization in cooperation with the Ministry for health review the possibility of bringing back into working condition the ambulance in Arachinovo.

30-5 August

All displaced persons can obtain free medical aid in all hospitals in the country with the card obtained while registering in the Red Cross.

WHO in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and UNICEF provided free medicines for IDPs in three pharmacies in Skopje, the polyclinics in Cento, Bit Pazar and Gorce Petrov. This kind of aid is already present in Kumanovo. WHO regularly provides medicines for the Medical Centre in Tetovo.

Milosrdie distributed medical items for the Municipality of Vratnica.

Klasje na dobrinata and SAZM provided free medical examinations for displaced persons.

23-29 July

World Health Organization (WHO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and UNICEF established three free medicine points for IDPs i.e. pharmacies in the polyclinics of Cento, Bit Pazar and Gorce Petrov. This kind of point is already present in Kumanovo and WHO regularly supplies the Medical Centre in Tetovo with medicines.

WHO completed capacity identification process of organizations active in health sector in the moment and in case of further escalation of the crisis.

16-22 July

The International Committee of the Red Cross delivered medicines in the Lipkovo area, where the access is difficult.

The Government Decision for free medicines for IDPs is still not implemented.

Free health care. The Government decision for free health care for IDPs, still does not extend to medicines

24-3 July

Free health care. By a decision of the Government, all internally displaced persons (IDP) have the right of a free health care anywhere in Macedonia. All registered IDPs, by using a registration card issued by the Macedonian Red Cross can use this right.
