25 March - 31 March
The Italian government provided US
$442,500 for seeds and fertilizers, which will cover the needs of
approximately 6,000 farmers from the Tetovo area. the Danish government is
expected to provide US $500,000 for potato and corn seeds.
18 March - 24 March
The Food and
Agriculture Organization continues with the planning and implementation of
the activities in the field of agriculture and animal feed. The
distribution in the Kumanovo area was completed, where 1,000 tones of
animal feed were distributed. The program for distribution of animal feed
is due to cover approximately 24,000 users.
11 March - 17 March
The ACTED is continuing
with the distribution of animal feed (corn and soya) in the Tetovo area.
4 March - 10 March
Japan granted
12 mil. US$ to Macedonia. The grant refers to five agricultural projects,
four of which are completed and one is still realised. The aid consisted
of provision of agricultural mechanisation and fertilisers.
FAO informed
that the first phase of the distribution of livestock food for app. 19.000
families was completed in Skopje, Tetovo and Kumanovo.
25 February - 3 March
The MPDL continues with
the distribution of animal feed in the Kumanovo and Skopje areas. In
Tetovo area this project is carried out by ACTED.
11 February - 17 February
Humanitarian organization ACTED, through
FAO's program, distributed 131 tons of maize and 17 tons of soy for 158
families from Mavrovo area. For 12,720 users from Tetovo and Gostivar
areas, 2,500 tons of maize and 318 tons of soy were provided.
Within the project financed by FAO for
distribution of livestock food in the crisis regions, MPDL provided
livestock food to 4,159 residents in Skopje and Kumanovo villages.
Twenty-four villages from Skopje area are included in the project as well
as around 120 villages from Kumanovo area.
4 February - 10 February
The Spanish organization MPDL started last
week a distribution of animal feed in grain and soya to the crisis
regions. The procedure for completion of the lists of users developed by
the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO is ongoing.
So far, the lists for Lipkovo and other
villages in the Kumanovo area have been completed, where distribution of
400 t. of animal feed is undergoing. Each family will receive 25 kg, of
soya and 200 kg, of corn grain.
28 Januar - 3 February
The ACTED is distributing corn beans and soy
flour in Tetovo, Gostivar and Mavrovo regions. The project includes all
owners of domestic animals. There are approximately 13,000 users in Tetovo
and Gostivar regions. In Tetovo, every user receives 200 kg of corn beans
and 20 kg of soy flour.
